Destination Weddings?

Would it not be great to get everything off of your “Bucket List” in one trip? This is not possible, as we all know, so why not at least cross off one of your top ten from the list during your wedding preparations? Why not have your wedding in some far away, or not so far away, romantic location? Romance is not dead, so why not have an “out of town wedding” somewhere you have always wanted to, or love to visit?

I know what you are thinking; “My family will never go for this”. The whole idea of a destination wedding is that everyone in the families, and your friends in the Bridal Party, gets to take a short vacation and enjoy the place and the atmosphere of the destination that you have chosen. You can choose near or far depending on expected participation in your event from family and friends. Don’t plan your big day on expected attendance alone, they will come wherever you decide to get married, especially if it is going to occur somewhere really great.

I have photographed weddings from Key West to Mexico to Chicago to Europe, and have found that my couples and their families have been totally relaxed in a “vacation atmosphere”, and enjoy the experience far more. My goal is to shoot a wedding in Hawaii someday, so will someone please step up to the plate on this dream!? In the meantime, I love the Florida Keys weddings; there is no other place like Key West! Love It!

The wedding preparations can be researched and booked online, which makes life a lot easier. Once you have done the preliminary research and decide on the location and availability, you can start working out the finer details. Guiliana and Bill’s wedding in Capri, Italy is a great example of what is and how it is possible to plan perfect and gorgeous destination wedding living miles and miles away. Just plug in your laptop and start !

Winter in the middle of summer? Wedding photographers monolog

In one of my favorite and most inspirational photographers Zack Arias opinion i’m in my winter now.

In the middle of the Summer?

Yes …  creative and trust winter

This week every morning i’m waking up with my “winter idea” – no creative locations, my favorite project “paper dress” is not moving fast enough, why i left Chicago, studio to small, feeling used from some peeps, friends to far, i’m not in top 10,  etc etc:) but then i stumbled upon Zak Arias  video post and one more video on youtube what i posted earlier.

Interesting coincidence, almost somebody (Is internet in heaven? And does Hi live in heaven? Does Heaven exist? And who is He?) wrote me email with 2 links and said “go and watch and get out of winter in the middle of summer”. And i did. At least first step. I watched those videos.

I’m not sure i’m completely out of winter (still wearing my UGGs) but i feel that undescribable sent in the air…..Spring is coming.

For this spring I have to thank one more person – My Chicago Photography School Classmate Laurie.

Girl, Good karma Marketing works. Back when i was kid, my grandma always told me “never do to others what you not expect back”. In my life i learned Karma (everybody can call it in own name) is that girl with B…- comes back and hits you hard. But sometimes brings you great gifts.
